Cooking hadn’t always been a love or passion of mine. Matter of fact I avoided it for a long time.

Here’s the thing - I grew up not far down the line of family homesteaders, we’re talking my great grand parents and grandparents, and mom grew up homesteading in Hawai`i. So it’s not that I wasn’t exposed nor did I have generational knowledge and teachers. I just preferred not to LOL. My ideal time growing up was roughing it outside with my dad, ranching, hunting, and purely being as feral as I could.

Till I got older - I’d say my late 20’s softened me, probably in the best way and I decided I wanted to learn and really found a love and passion for scratch home cooked meals.

Well life as we all know doesn’t always allow for meals that take hours, so enjoy a combination of my favorites. From scratch meals, to one pot dishes, to crock pot meals that you set and forget.
